Foaling Down
When you send your valued mare to Jubilee Stud, be assured she will be in the care of expert horse handlers. We value each client and attend to your mare’s individual needs as required.
We are a family owned and operated stud and live on the property. When your mare is close to foaling, she will be monitored closely. We, (the owners of the business), attend to the birth of your foal. Jubilee Stud was established in 1985 and we have over thirty years experience in foaling down mares and attending to neonate foals.
Jubilee Stud is a boutique breeding farm, so the numbers of mares which visit our farm, are far fewer than the larger studs. We have designated paddocks to foal down mares. These paddocks are left vacant outside of the breeding season. The manure is picked up from these paddocks daily when in use, to ensure the best possible environment for your foal to be born in to.
Our experience ensures any small deviation from normal is detected at the earliest onset, either during the birth of your foal or in the critical 48 hours following the birth.
We realise that your new foal is special to you and welcome your visit to see the new arrival. Our dedicated and experienced staff, are always on hand to help with any queries you may have, once your mare and foal have returned home safely to you.
